WWW Wednesday: February 13th, 2019

WWW Wednesday

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been pretty absent this month; I still trying to get a proper handle on my schedule. Between working, reading, writing, blogging, attending events, and homework, I have a tendency to swing towards only one or two things and have yet to figure out a way to properly balance them all. Basically what I’m trying to say is that I will be trying to post more regularly and frequently for the rest of the month, but bear with me if my blog posts continue to be sparse. Now, let’s get to this reading update…

And for those of you who don’t know: WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where you answer 3 β€˜what’ questions about your reading.

What are you currently reading?

Wow, I started Smoke & Summons Monday night and boy am I addicted. It’s such a interesting and quick read and ahhh, I can’t wait to see where the story goes! I’ve been neglecting a lot of responsibilities to read this, whoops.
Also, I’m participating in a blog tour for this book later this month so stay tuned for that! I’ll be posting a full review alongside my favorite quotes!

What have you recently finished reading?

I’VE DONE IT; I’VE FINALLY READ THE SIX OF CROWS DUOLOGY! I’m so glad that I finally met all these characters, though I have to say that Wylan and perhaps Nina might be my favorites (FIGHT ME). Because most of y’all have already read this book and because this book is so complex, dark, and amazing (ahhhh) and I don’t know how to properly express my thoughts on it, I’m just gonna stop babbling now.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Oooh, this is hard. I made the mistake of going on Netgalley recently and requesting a handful of ARCs from small publishers (and magically getting approved for them), so I want to tackle some of those soon, but I also want to return to Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha verse. So basically I could be reading any one of these three next.

Any suggestions on which one to pick up first?

What are you currently reading? What books are you planning on picking up next?

If you made a WWW Wednesday post this week, feel free to link it up in the comments below, I would love to read them!

    1. Lol thanks!
And yes yes so true; we’re all happy and eating waffles. 😭
Okay, so I was partly spoiled about the ending which led me to correctly guess what happened and I STILL HAD TEARS STREAMING DOWN MY FACE when I got to that point in the book. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
And oooh, yessssss, Inej is also great! Ahhh, you’re right; picking favs is very hard. Wow, how does Leigh Bardugo write such incredible books and characters? She must be magic. Or grisha, lol.

    1. Yeah, I usually aim for a WWW Wednesday post once a month as like a midway check-in, tho I did miss doing one for January. But YES, balance: I very much need to find that.
And omg, read Crooked Kingdom! Have you read Six of Crows yet?
      And thanks! πŸ™‚

        1. Well, the Six of Crow series is a duology, so it’s only Six of Crows and then Crooked Kingdom. There is a companion series called the Grisha trilogy, which chronological occurs first, but technically you could start with either series. I would recommend the Grisha trilogy, tho I know readers tend to think Six of Crows is a better series. Really what I’m saying is that you can’t go wrong either way. (The first Grisha book is Shadow and Bone.)
Happy reading! I really hope you enjoy these books when ya pick them up! πŸ™‚

            1. Ooh nice, lol! Yes, definitely pick up Six of Crows as soon as you can! It’s so good and there are a few mentions and appearances of characters from the Grisha trilogy which is also really cool!

    1. Yessss, ahhhhhh 😒
And thank you! I started The Language of Thorns a couple of days ago and I am LOVING it. I have one story left as of now which I’m both excited and sad to read because I wish there were more after it!
      Thanks for stopping by! πŸ™‚
