Hey, guys, sorry for the random week-long absence! I’m currently on vacation with family on my dad’s side, and during any time I’ve been able to get away, I’ve spent writing and catching up on my Camp NaNo goal! (Omg, I had this great evening yesterday where I sat down with a glass of wine and I actually wanted to do nothing but write and I wrote a lot, and ahhhh, it felt so great.)
But I thought I’d pop in real quick with a WWW Wednesday reading update! I haven’t been doing a ton of reading lately, but part of my internship duties require me to read so I’ll be getting back to that soon.
And just a heads up: I’ll probably be gone for another week-ish until Tuesday when I’ll be back with a TTT post. Between writing and catching up on my internship stuff, I don’t think I’ll be able to pull together any more posts other than that for this month. But come August, I’ll be back with some more regular content!
Also, for those of you who don’t know: WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where you answer 3 ‘what’ questions about your reading.
What are you currently reading?
- The Memory Palace– Reading this for my internship! It’s really interesting, though rather intense. Taking a short break from it at the moment though because I’m on vacation.
- Final Girls– I started this book at the beach yesterday. I’m only ~10 pages in, but I’m intrigued!
What did you recently finish reading?
I finished this last Tuesday (I read it all in 2 days!) and OMG IT’S SO WORTH THE HYPE AND I ADORED IT SO MUCH. Even just thinking about this book makes me so happy and I’m highly tempted to buy a copy for myself and to shove it at my housemates come the fall semester.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I definitely want to try to get around to reading The Song of Achilles before my copy is due back at the library at the beginning of August.
In regards to what internship book I’ll pick up next, I’m not sure which one will be next?
I enjoyed Final Girls and hope you do to. I’ve had my eye on The Song of Achilles for a while so I’ll be interested to hear what you make of it.

The Song of Achilles is one of my favorite books! Her second book Circe is just as good. It is a slow burn but I hope you get the chance to enjoy it soon.
You make me want to abandon my current contemporary romance and get a copy of Red, White and Royal Blue. I love how much you love it!

Ahhh, now I really can’t wait to pick up The Song of Achilles! I love slow-burn romances! I read Circe last summer and loved it so much 🙂
And yesss, definitely put Red, White & Royal Blue high up on your TBR, especially if you’re not feeling your current read!

Great picks! I’m jealous of your beach reading yesterday. I’m leaving in just over one week to road trip around Ireland, and I can’t wait! I have already downloaded a good list of Kindle books in preparation and just need to pick a small physical book that I can leave behind (which I do on all my travels). Bahaha, I only got like one chapter in because it was windy and kinda cold, but yes, it was still nice to read on the beach!
Omg, a road trip around Ireland? That sounds super fun! And wait, you have a tradition of leaving books behind on trips? How do you choose what book and where to leave them?
Happy reading and safe travels! 🙂

So excited for my Ireland/Northern Ireland trip! We leave in 2 days! Whenever I travel, which is a lot (or was at least), I would take a book that I don’t mind leaving on the plane or in hotels (which tend to have bookshelves). Normally, I save small paperback thrillers, mysteries or romances for travel occasions.

I really need to get to The Song of Achilles. I loved Circe, and actually convinced a friend of mine to check out Miller’s books long before I’d ever read one myself. For a while for me she was just one of those authors where you get to know a fair bit about their work before ever fully diving in. I hope you enjoy it too!
